July 17, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of the current year, the population of Azerbaijan spent 1.427 bn manats on the purchase of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, according to the State Statistics Committee.

Expenditures on the purchase of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 1.3% against Jan-Jun 2025.

In the 1st half of 2025, the population spent 1.296 bn manats on purchase of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.

Over Jan-Jun 2026, an average of 237.8 million manats was spent on these products every month. 4.4% of consuemr spending on goods in the retail trade network were used for buying alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
