July 14, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Apr 2026, Azerbaijan imported 5,554 tons of peppers for $3.9 million (12.1% more in value terms and 12% more in volume terms vesus the 2025 same term), according to the State Statistics Committee.

Azerbaijan imported 5,552 tons of pepper from Iran (+15.6%) for $3.9 million (16% more than a year earlier), 1.8 tons (-99%) for $1,900 (-98%) from Turkey, 0.03 tons (-40%) $500 (-4%) from Thailand, 0.01 tons by $50 from China, 0.01 tons for $10 from Spain (no supplies a year earlier).

This year, supplies from China were carried out for the first time in 16 years (note: official statistical data open to foreign trade has been available since 2011).
