July 13, Fineko/abc.az. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made key announcements regarding the expansion of the country's gas export geography and strategic cooperation with European partners during his speech at the Shusha media forum.

Reflecting on the head of state's address, it is reported that Azerbaijan has already commenced gas supplies to Austria and Germany, as well as to the Syrian market, which was unimaginable in previous years. Emphasizing that the European market is a premium destination offering the best prices, the President noted: "In our contacts with European partners, we convey the message that we need long-term contracts and joint efforts to expand the gas transmission system."
