July 13, Fineko/abc.az. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed disappointment over escalating tensions within the Islamic world and emphasized the critical importance of mutual understanding during his speech at the Shusha media forum.

Reflecting on the head of state's address, it is reported that Azerbaijan has consistently advocated for solidarity among Islamic nations and launched numerous initiatives to this end. Regretting that global tensions and mutual accusations are currently on the rise, particularly in the Middle East, the President noted: "Solidarity within the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation is the key factor for stability and security. The weaker the mutual understanding becomes, the worse the situation will get."
