Moscow Court Fines Google, Telegram, and Pinterest Millions of Rubles

September 2, Fineko/abc.az. The Tagansky District Court of Moscow has imposed administrative fines on Google, Telegram, and Pinterest Europe Limited for failing to comply with Russian digital content regulations.

According to court rulings:

  • Telegram was fined 11.4 million rubles (approx. $130,000) for failing to remove content prohibited from distribution in the Russian Federation.

  • Google received a fine of 7.6 million rubles (approx. $87,000) under the same violation charge.

  • Pinterest Europe Limited was handed a fine of 10.8 million rubles (approx. $123,000) for non-compliance with social network owner obligations, including the distribution of non-traditional values content and failure to remove restricted information in a timely manner.
