September 4, Fineko/abc.az. In January-August 2026, a one-time childbirth benefit was proactively granted and paid to 56,980 recipients.

The State Social Protection Fund said the payments were made in connection with the birth of 26,675 girls and 30,305 boys. The data are preliminary.

In the same period last year, the number of recipients stood at 65,191.

Thus, in the first eight months of 2026, the number of people who received the one-time childbirth benefit fell by 8,211, or 12.6%, year on year.
