Revenues of Azerbaijani airlines from cargo transportation reach 1.4 billion manats

September 1, Fineko/abc.az. Revenues of airlines in Azerbaijan from air cargo transportation reached 1 billion 419 million manats, or about $835 million, in January-June 2026.

According to ABC.AZ, this is 28% more than in the same period last year.

In the first six months of 2025, revenues from air cargo transportation amounted to 1 billion 109 million manats. In January-June 2024, the figure stood at 1 billion 288 million manats.

As before, almost all revenues came from international air cargo transportation. Revenues from domestic cargo transportation increased by 4.8% to 558,200 manats.

At the same time, the volume of cargo transported by air showed significantly weaker growth. In January-June 2026, 188,000 tonnes of cargo were transported by air, just 0.2% more than in the same period last year. In January-June 2025, the volume of air cargo transportation amounted to 187,600 tonnes.

The bulk of the cargo was transported through international air services. In particular, 185,900 tonnes of cargo were transported on international flights, up 0.2% from 185,500 tonnes in the first six months of 2025.

The volume of domestic air cargo transportation remained unchanged at 2,100 tonnes.
