September 3, Fineko/abc.az. High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas announced that proposals to tighten visa restrictions on Russian tourists and impose entry bans on individuals who fought in the Russian army against Ukraine received broad support among member states.

Speaking after the informal "Gymnich" meeting of EU Foreign Ministers in Ireland, Kallas highlighted security concerns following reports that a suspect in a drone sabotage attempt at Germany's Leipzig-Halle airport entered using an EU tourist visa.

She added that the EU is working on new proposals to enforce sanctions, address attacks on Black Sea grain ships, leverage frozen Russian assets, and streamline decision-making in foreign policy.
