A human clone not to be recognized as object of patenting

March 31, Fineko/abc.az. A human clone will not be recognized as an object of patenting.

ABC.AZ informs that this is reflected in the amendment to the Law on Patent, the application of which was approved by decree of President Ilham Aliyev.

Under the law, methods of human cloning and its clone itself, methods of modifying the genetic integrity of human germ line cells, as well as the use of human embryos for industrial purposes are not recognized as objects of patenting.
